Wine lovers who visited downtown Oak Park’s annual Uncork Illinois Wine Festival might have been hoping for a different liquid in their glasses last weekend, but the rain didn’t keep them from enjoying the event.
Wine aficionados, from the serious to the casual fan, had the chance to sample more than 150 wines from more than 15 local wineries at the seventh annual event, which took place along Marion Street on June 15.

Live music and entertainment during the event was provided by the Hans Luchs Quartet, Maracujaz Quartet and the Audley Reid Quartet.
A portion of the event’s proceeds benefit the Animal Care League shelter located in Oak Park.
