Police said Oxnevad was taken to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead about 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver of the car was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, officials said.

“The accident is still under investigation,” Oak Park Deputy Police Chief Joseph Moran said. “The driver was cooperative and remained on the scene.”
