Naperville native James Holzhauer's 'Jeopardy!' run now at 12 days, winnings more than $850K

As of Friday, Naperville native James Holzhauer has won $851,926 in 12 consecutive days on "Jeopardy!"

“Jeopardy!” fans will continue to see Naperville native James Holzhauer on the show next week as he extended his winning streak to 12 days in Friday’s episode of the show.

Holzhauer provided the answer, “What are George, Edward & Henry,” to the Final Jeopardy question of “A “VI” has followed these 3 royal names of English kings?”

He was the only contestant to provide the correct answer to the question.

The 34-year-old professional sports bettor who now lives in Las Vegas entered the Final Jeopardy round far ahead of his competitors and had $45,000 in winnings. He bet $35,006 on his correct answer and walked away with $80,006.

The other two “Jeopardy!” contestants went into Final Jeopardy with $4,800 and $2,200, and finished the game with $4,500 and $2,200 respectively.

In his 12-day run, Holzhauer has now racked up $851,926 in winnings and is third on the all-time winnings list. Ahead of Holzhauer on the list are Ken Jennings with $3,370,700 and Brad Rutter with $4,688,435.
