Independence Day is soon approaching and so is the use of fireworks. As a pet owner, I dread fireworks because they bother my pets. They also may contribute adding to toxic contamination of our air, water and land. Maybe the youth of today can start to protest against the use of fireworks — not only on July 4th but also at ballgames and rock concerts.
