The Chicago White Sox need a transfusion — fresh blood. They need a manager who can bring life to a stagnant team. Wouldn’t Joe Girardi, who played for baseball teams including the Chicago Cubs and managed the Florida Marlins and the New York Yankees, be the guy? Wake up White Sox management before you lose faithful fans.

The Illinois legislature wants to double the gas tax. Under former Gov. George Ryan, the license plate fees, drivers license fees, automobile registration fees, automobile transfer fees either doubled or tripled. These fees were increased to support bridge and road infrastructure repairs. These increases were projected to raise $40 billion. What happened to the money from the increases?

I thought there were three branches of government meant to keep each other in check, but President Donald Trump campaigned like he was running for king. Apparently, with no input or objection from Congress and with the simple stroke of his pen, that's the redefined office he occupies. How do you fire a Congress that thinks its job is to do nothing, not offend anyone but gets reelected? Voter turnout has proven that voting them out doesn't work.
