Wolves beat the Iowa Wild 3-1 to advance to the AHL Western Conference finals

The Wolves scored three goals in the second period and beat the Iowa Wild 3-1 Monday night at Allstate Arena to advance to the Western Conference finals of the AHL’s Calder Cup playoffs.

Daniel Carr’s short-handed goal at 17:33 of the second period put the Wolves ahead to stay as they defeated the Wild four games to two in the Central Division finals.

They will face the winner of the Pacific Division finals between the Bakersfield Condors and San Diego Gulls. The Wolves would have home-ice advantage against the Gulls.

Curtis McKenzie and Cody Glass also scored for the Wolves. Carr and Glass scored 25 seconds apart. Oscar Dansk made 23 saves.
